You want to make a world with more justice for everyone.

I’m here for you.

I offer fat positive and HAES-aligned, queer and trans affirming, anti-racist, kink and polyamory friendly, pagan welcoming, and generally anti-oppression healing care from a licensed occupational therapist.

Hi! I’m Mara Levy, and my pronouns are they/them.

I’m a licensed occupational therapist, a certified lymphedema specialist, and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.

I want to build a better world, with more justice, safety, and joy for us all. I think an important way to get there is to heal ourselves, and heal those around us.

When we heal our trauma and learn to accept our present body, we can find the freedom to build the life we want.

You want to do what matters.

I want to help.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy is body-based mental health that can help you reconnect with your body, learn to feel safe, and live a more sustainable and unconstrained life.

I have a particular interest in helping people heal from medical trauma and live better with chronic illness.

As a licensed occupational therapist, I offer various modalities to support your healing including somatic experiencing, lymphatic massage, pacing, creating better systems for your life, and coaching to manage pain, stress, and fatigue.

Somatic therapy is available in person in downtown Silver Spring, MD, or online for people in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Lymphatic Massage

Also called manual lymphatic drainage, lymphatic massage is a gentle hands-on technique to encourage the body’s natural lymphatic flow.

Benefits include soothing the nervous system, managing pain, reducing swelling, relieving stress, reducing inflammation, and enhancing immune system function.

Anyone can experience its benefits, and it’s particularly helpful for people recovering from surgery, cancer survivors, and people with lymphedema and lipedema.

Lymphatic massage is available in person in downtown Silver Spring, MD.
